Advent

an•tic•i•pa•tion /an tise' paSH(e)n/ noun: a feeling of excitement about something that is going to happen; the act of preparing for something

This time of year there is so much that we are excited about and preparing for: family gatherings, presents, twinkling lights, and the 24-hour Christmas Story marathon on TBS. But lost in the shuffle, just like 2000 years ago, is the birth of a tiny baby - Jesus, the Savior. The triumphant Lion of Judah came quietly in great humility to offer Himself up as a sacrifice to reconcile mankind to God the Father. Join us during Advent as we anticipate the Promised One and fix our gaze on the King of Kings, born as a fragile infant, Emmanuel, God with us.
