North Rock Hill Children's Ministry exists to plant a knowledge and love of Jesus in every child's heart. Each Sunday your child will participate in a fun lesson from the Bible, and work to apply what they learned in an age-appropriate way. We believe that God designed the family to be the primary influence in a child's life, and so we also equip families with resources to continue Sunday's conversations the remainder of the week.
Upon arriving, visit our downstairs or upstairs Kids Check In stations. Should you need directions, greeters wearing green lanyards are available to assist you. The Kids Check In station volunteer will help you register your child, and you can let us know about any allergies or special concerns you may have. You will also have an opportunity to see where your child will be going, and meet those who will be serving your child. You can be assured that each volunteer working with your child has passed a background check. Security is of paramount importance to us, so you will be given a numbered security tag. Should you be needed during the worship service, the number will be displayed in the auditorium. Your security tag will also ensure only you can pick up your child following the worship service.
North Rock Students seeks to make and multiply disciples within middle and high school. Each Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 PM your student will experience high-energy worship and teaching from the scriptures. They will also meet in a consistent small group led by volunteers committed to seeing students become world-impacting disciples. North Rock Students also comes alongside parents in their efforts to disciple their students by providing resources and other voices affirming the biblical instruction given in the home.
Upon arriving at 6:30 Wednesday, students enter through the glass doors on the front of the worship facility. After checking in, they will hang out with other students and volunteers until worship and teaching begins. Following teaching, they will spend time with their small groups discussing how the scriptures apply to their world.
In addition to Wednesday evenings, North Rock Students spend time together at school sporting events and other activities where student life happens.
Church isn't a place you go. It isn't an event. The Bible says church is a people who have been rescued from slavery to themselves into a new family, a new community. In this community we join God in his redeeming work. We believe that the best place to foster this community is in small groups called Journey Groups. These groups of 8-12 seek to become better disciples by sharing life, studying the Bible, serving our city, and making disciples.
Click the group contact button below. After submitting your group request, you will be contacted by a group leader with more information regarding a group that fits you. They will invite you to the next group meeting. This experience will give you opportunity to spend about 90 minutes with the group. A group's meetings may vary in style from week to week (social, study, serving, all guys, or all ladies), so we encourage you to try several meetings.
Many groups arrange their own childcare. For those who don't, NRHC offers childcare reimbursement vouchers. These vouchers are available through your group leader and may be submitted to the church office for reimbursement of childcare expenses at a predetermined rate.
North Rock Hill seeks to make disciples who impact the world. We believe God is calling us to show and share the gospel. This starts in our Sunday worship gatherings, continues into our city, and ultimately seeks to reach the ends of the earth.

World impact starts in the places where we live, work, and play, and continues to the ends of the earth. It means inviting our neighbors to Sunday worship gatherings, and then serving them through a guest services, family ministry, or worship support team. It also means working with your Journey Group to show and share the gospel with our city.

The world desperately needs to both see and hear the gospel. God has entrusted us with positions and means of influence, and is calling us to use them to impact the world. North Rock Hill seeks to build lasting relationships with international partners that benefit both parties and pursue God's kingdom.
North Rock Hill's best opportunities for ongoing disciple-making occur in our worship services, Journey Groups, and missions opportunities. Personal struggles, however, can dilute our ability to fully engage in these disciple-making environments. North Rock Hill offers short-term classes in areas of great need such as personal finance and marriage. These classes are designed to work in conjunction with, not in place of, our regular worship, community, and missions environments.
God has called and equipped Christians to care for one another by encouraging growth toward Christ-likeness and bearing one another's burdens. The best place to experience these kind of caring relationships is in Journey Groups. If you are in need of biblical counsel and care, we encourage you to first talk with your Journey Group leader. If you are not in a group, we encourage you to try one.
Journey Groups provide the best ongoing care and encouragement, but some situations require more professional counseling. North Rock Hill maintains a strong network of staff pastoral counselors for short-term needs as well as licensed professional counselors for more long-term care. All sessions are confidential. For more information, submit a counseling request.
Marriage is the bringing together of two imperfect people. What works for the single person or even engaged couple won't work for the long haul unless a healthy, biblical foundation is laid. North Rock Hill is passionate about healthy, biblical marriages, and therefore we recommend pre-marital counseling for all couples pursuing marriage, and require it for any marriages performed by NRHC staff. For more information, submit a pre-marital counseling request.
Jesus has called us to pursue generosity, but generosity requires financial margin. If you are struggling financially, consider attending one of our personal finance classes (link). Individual financial counseling and coaching is also available to walk you through the steps toward financial freedom. For more information, submit a financial counseling request.
