North Rock Hill Kids

North Rock Hill Kid’s exists to partner with parents to lead children to become disciples who change the world. Each Sunday children ages 2 through 5 to engage in worship, hear the Bible presented to them in a fun and captivating way, and participate in age-graded small groups where they will apply what they learn to everyday life. Our littlest ones, birth-one year, are cared for and loved on throughout the morning as volunteers begin to introduce God’s love and God’s Word to them. We believe that God th grade will have the opportunity designed the family to be the primary influence in a child's life, and so we equip families with resources to continue Sunday's conversations throughout the week.

What to Expect

Upon arriving, look for our logo on walls, upstairs or downstairs. The Kids Check In stations are close by! There one of our volunteers will help you register your child, and you can let us know about any allergies or special concerns you may have. You will also have an opportunity to see where your child will be going, and meet those who will be serving your child. You can be assured that each volunteer working with your child loves Jesus and has passed a background check. Security is important to us, so you will be given a numbered security tag. Should you be needed during the worship service, the number will be displayed in the auditorium. Your security tag will also ensure only you can pick up your child following the worship service.

North Rock Hill Student Ministry seeks to encourage, equip, and empower students to grow as followers of Christ and make disciples in their specific context. It is our desire for students to learn what it means to multiply disciples for the Glory of God. This is done in the following ways:

  • Encourage: We desire to encourage students to grow in their understanding of what it means to be a follower of Christ. This involves partnering with parents in the spiritual formation of their student.
  • Equip: We desire to equip students by providing weekly worship, teaching, and discussion that facilitate spiritual growth and discipleship.
  • Empower: We desire to empower students by offering environments and opportunities for missional living and service. This includes retreats and mission trips that assist in spiritual growth and discipleship.

Our trained volunteers and parents long to see students transformed by the Gospel so that they might embody what we believe to be the marks of a disciple – Love, Grow, Serve, Share.

Weekly Gathering

Fall and Spring Semesters:

During the school year we gather on Wednesday Nights from 6:00-8:00. This is for both middle and high school students. During this time we provide time for students to connect with piers, corporate worship, large-group teaching, and small group discussion. Our small groups are gender and grade divided in order to provide students an environment to process biblical truths taught in our large-group teaching time.

During the summer months our students meet in host homes throughout the city from 6:00-8:00pm. Middle and High School meet at separate locations. For information about locations subscribe to our weekly eNews or check our social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram)

What to Expect

Upon arriving at North Rock Hill Church please enter through the front of the building through the glass doors. Students will check-in and hang out with volunteers and other students until worship begins. Students will then gather for a time of worship and large-group teaching. After worship, students will divide into small groups to process and discuss how the biblical truths presented during our large-group teaching apply to their specific context.

Other opportunities such as retreats, mission trips, and service projects will take place throughout the year.

Church isn’t a place you go; it isn’t an event. The Bible says it is a people who have been rescued from slavery to themselves into a new family, a new community. In this community we join God in His redeeming work. We believe that the best place to grow in this kind of community is in a small group. These groups of 8-12 people passionately pursue Christ by doing life together, studying the Bible, serving our city, and making disciples. Ready to take this step?

How Do I Try a Group?

D groups

Click the group contact button below. After submitting your group request, you will be contacted by a group leader with more information regarding a group that fits you. They will invite you to the next group meeting. This experience will give you opportunity to spend about 90 minutes with the group. A group's meetings may vary in style from week to week (social, study, serving, all guys, or all ladies), so we encourage you to try several meetings.

What About Childcare?

Many groups arrange their own childcare. For those who don't, NRHC offers childcare reimbursement vouchers. These vouchers are available through your group leader and may be submitted to the church office for reimbursement of childcare expenses at a predetermined rate.
