The Gift that is Prayer

Dear NRHC Family,

Ephesians 4 calls the church to "EQUIP the saints for the work of the ministry." At NRHC, Sunday mornings and D-groups are our two primary corporate disciple-making environments. However, we want to increasingly supplement those environments through our EQUIP ministry with targeted opportunities to learn and grow in specific areas of life-- all for the purpose of better understanding and living out the Gospel in our daily lives.

Earlier this spring, over 120 people participated in the two-day Mingling of Souls marriage conference. The next EQUIP opportunity is coming up on Sunday, August 13 as we dig deeper into the topic of prayer. Chuck Lawless, Dean and Vice-President of Graduate Studies and Ministry Centers and Professor of Evangelism and Missions at Southeastern Seminary, will be leading us through a biblical foundation and practice of prayer.

No matter where you are in your relationship with God or in your prayer life, you won't want to miss this great opportunity to grow in the discipline and gift that is prayer. With the busyness of summer upon us, go ahead and sign up today to reserve your spot-- there is no cost! This will also be a great opportunity to invite someone to join you who is either a new believer and not yet connected to a faith family or someone who maybe isn't even a Christian yet but you've been building a relationship with and they've expressed interest in learning more. You can get more information or register here.
