Think Missionally

Dear NRHC Family,

The good news of the gospel changes everything! As a result, Christ-followers are called to live on mission every single day. Living on mission is not an event; it's a lifestyle that overflows from a continually transformed heart. Because of what Christ has done in our lives, we GET to live on mission daily and share the gospel with those far from Christ!

Halloween is right around the corner, and I want to encourage all of us to be thinking missionally as we make our plans for that day. Some essential aspects of living on mission include: examining where God is already moving in our everyday rhythms and existing relationships, making ourselves available, and taking the time to intentionally invest in authentic relationships.

As we think about Halloween, consider setting aside a block of time that you're going to be home that night—but not in your house with the lights off. Instead, camp out right on the front porch or in the front yard! Create an environment and give out treats that encourage conversation and relationship building. Or maybe ask a specific family or group of families to trick–or–treat with yours so that you can spend some extended time together. Whatever you do: be creative, be intentional, and have fun!

One Life at a Time,
Andrew
