Before All Things

When you ask little kids what they learned at church or who was the Bible story about or why Paul went to Athens, most all will respond “Jesus!” The answer is so prevalent that we’ve even labeled it the “church answer”. But maybe there is a reason that’s always the answer. What if Jesus really is the answer? What if He’s the answer to a mystery that’s been hidden for ages? What if He’s the answer to questions about false doctrine? What if He’s the one we should center our entire lives around?

And just who is this Jesus? Colossians tells us that He is “the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.” He is “before all things, and in Him all things hold together”. He is “the head of the body, the church.” He is preeminent.

And what does our life look like when every part of our being is centered around the One who is “before all things”? Join us for an 8-week study through the book of Colossians as we explore the nature of Jesus and how that impacts every moment of every day we live.
