NRHkids

Birth through 5th Grade

North Rock Hill Kid’s exists to partner with families and utilize our time with them each week for intentional discipleship for each age. Each Sunday children, from birth to 5th grade are under the care of our faithful volunteers. Children ages 2 through 5th grade engage in worship, hear the Bible presented to them in a fun and captivating way, and participate in small groups where they will apply what they learn to everyday life. We strive to provide and equip parents to continue their children’s discipleship outside of the church walls with resources to continue Sunday's conversations throughout the week.

What to Expect

Upon arriving, look for our logo on the walls, upstairs or downstairs or head to the “New Here?” sign for assistance from one of our Host Team members.  There, one of our volunteers will help you register your child, and you can let us know about any allergies or special concerns you may have. Once your child is checked in, you will receive a numbered security tag. Should you be needed during the worship service, the number on the tag will be displayed in the auditorium. Your security tag will also ensure that only you can pick up your child following the worship service. While dropping your child off, you will also have an opportunity to see where your child will be going, and you can meet those who will be serving your child. Security is important to us, so we have made sure that all of our leaders have passed a background check. All of our kids’ leaders love Jesus and are happy to serve you and your family.

 

Please note that NRHkids check in is available from 15 minutes before the beginning of service until 15 minutes after the service starts.  

What We Do

We communicate the gospel in an engaging, age-appropriate way.  Consistent leaders serve making it easier to build relationships with both kids and parents.  We recognize that parents are the primary disciple makers in their child’s life and do our best to equip them for that job.


BABIES & TODDLERS (birth-2 year olds)

We provide a safe, loving environment to begin planting gospel seeds in the hearts and minds of our little ones. Prayer time, worship music, and repetition of the day’s gospel message are a few ways our leaders intentionally begin planting those seeds during this time.


PRESCHOOL (2 years - 4K)

In our yellow and orange rooms your child will experience worship music, teaching of the Bible, and small group activities that reinforce gospel truths.


ELEMENTARY (K-5th grades) 

Your child will experience:

• Large Group Worship is led by a team of their peers and the Bible story is communicated by one of our storytellers.

• Small Groups - In these age-graded groups, volunteers will lead them in studying the Bible and building relationships with one another.  

• 45 North is a special Sunday small group where our 4th and 5th graders begin digging into God’s Word a little deeper as they prepare to enter student ministry and face the challenges of a preteen in today’s culture.

Safety and Health

  • Volunteers: We require all of our volunteers to submit to a background check, submit an application, and attend training.  They love Jesus and are are looking forward to serving you and your family.
  • Health Standards: Children must be free from fever or symptoms of contagious disease for 24 hours. Let us know of any allergies or medical conditions your child may have.
  • Child Pick-Up: Your must present your portion of the sticker before we release your child.
  • Parent Paging: If we need you during service, we will text you or the number on your sticker will be displayed in the auditorium.
