Anticipate Love

Love isn't just another emotion we're supposed to muster up—it's the very power source that lights up everything else in our spiritual lives. We can try so hard to manufacture hope, peace, and joy on our own, only to find ourselves exhausted and empty. But here's the truth: love is the greatest of these because it's the source from which everything else flows. Biblical love isn't the casual 'I love mac and cheese' kind of love we throw around. It's defined as a selfless, covenantal commitment that acts for the good of others, no matter the cost. This is the love God demonstrated when He sent Jesus—not because we deserved it, not because we earned it, but simply because that's who He is. The Apostle John understood something profound: the most defining thing about our lives isn't what we've accomplished or how hard we've tried, but that we are loved by God. This Christmas season, instead of trying harder to feel loving, what if we simply stayed connected to the Source of love Himself? When we remain in His love, it naturally flows through us into every relationship and circumstance we encounter.
